So, we've all been there - last minute flurry of shopping, trying to find just the right gift for our special someone. We're almost there!  Holiday season - nice and warm and hopefully sunny for us folks in the Southern Hemisphere and cold and wintry where you can cuddle up in front of the fire for you northerners!  Anywhere you are, hopefully you'll get a break from the hustle and bustle and be able to let your hair down and have some fun.  We are still having more than a chuckle at the shop at the moment. Whole piles of lovely, interesting, funny people coming in and keeping us entertained.  Last minute Christmas shopping for unusual goodies.  Support your local artists, wherever you are!!

We are loving the warmer, sunny weather. New colourful flower stud earrings are in store to brighten up those summer frocks.  We've now got gift vouchers available on our online store. summer bliss

Aah, blue, sunny skies, warm breezes and happy people - it must be summer!  Busy season of shows and festivals and parties recently so it's lovely to now meet some wonderful people at the studio shop over the summer.  With so many tourists in town, you never know who'll come in the door next or which country they'll be from. Love it.  There are new brightly coloured resin rings and bangles in store (not all on the website yet) and more cheeky and colourful resin rings now making their way through the creative process!  We have the perfect jewellery to complement that colour block wardrobe you have for the summer...

pre-xmas jewellery party this week!

Gearing up for our big, pre-xmas jewellery party this Thursday 24 November 2011, 7-9pm.  Bubbly, nibbles and lots of laughs.  It's a great girls' night out. New resin pieces and other semi precious lovelies will be available.  Bright colours are all over the place on the fashion front and you'll find no shortage of colour in our new pieces either.  Our customers get noticed!

Spring is in the air

With lovely, warmer temperatures and sunshine gracing us with its presence in Aotearoa/NZ, our thoughts can turn to our summer finery. What are we going to wear with our gorgeous new summer frocks?  With our new outfits to go to that wedding or special birthday? Our newest range of handcrafted resin pieces, often carry inspiring messages such as "Courage my love" or "Tempus fugit" or "Vive L'amour", "Breathe" or "Be. Here. Now".  We've been busy custom making gifts for those with something significant to say to another.  Check out our Vintage Lucite lovelies - a perfect match for those 1950s dresses now in vogue...Why wear a fascinator or hat when you can wear a mad tiara?!!  Go on, dare to be different!

garden and art festival fun

Yesterday was day one of the Gisborne Garden & Art Festival where we are exhibiting at Matawhero Wines. The gorgeous orange roses and fields of vines are a beautiful backdrop. There were huge volumes of people through yesterday, all ready for a platter and some fantastic wine in the sunshine. People wandering around looking at our sparklers with a wine in hand! Lots of visitors from out of town also, groups of women here on girls' weekends, all enjoying themselves enormously. The feedback about all the gardens in the festival has been really positive so far.  Off for day two now!

Gisborne Garden & Art Festival

Gearing up for the first Gisborne Garden & Art Festival the weekend of 5 & 6 November 2011. We are exhibiting at Matawhero Wines so you can savour a gorgeous glass of vino whilst wandering the luscious gardens and browsing some fab jewels.  Virginia Woolf, who's a photographer will also have her work at Matawhero Wines.  Been working on new resin pieces to have ready for the Festival so look out for some fresh stuff!  Don't you just love looking around other people's gardens!  Matawhero is a beautiful place to relax, enjoy wine and platters.

Our last of the year, big pre-xmas jewellery party is on Thursday 24 November 2011, 7-9pm.  We always have complimentary bubbles and nibbles so it's a fun girls' night out and lots of laughs. Never a dull moment. Often dust ups if two women want the same necklace! Elegant dust ups though...Email us if you want an invite. Special offer on this time for regular customers if they bring 5 new people to the party..

Welcome to our new blog!

Dipping our toes into the warm water of blog world! This is the first blog on our website. Designed to keep you current with all our activities and for you to post to us. Today we are gearing up for our stand at the Gisborne A& P Show on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October 2011 in the Showplace marquee tent. Just us, numerous other exhibitors and some horses, cattle and sheep! Every year at the A&P Show something interesting happens. Last year, due to the grounds being flooded, we ended up with our stand in a cattle stall, with a prime view of the debating and the pet lamb competition!  Come and check out the fun and goodies at the Show if you are a Gisborne local. It's a great laugh and a good day out for all the family. Please let us know what you'd like to hear more about on our blog too.
